Hi my name is Larrie cook. I was shot in the leg in Frisco and came to Australia & met a blind keyboard player name of Jeff Usher and formed a blues band called "Larrie Cook and the Bluesmasters" . The Bluesmasters are world record holders for the longest blues song ever played (24hs and 26 min non stop. May 25, 1997 which is John Lee Hooker's birthday! We did this to raise money for the Blind Society) WE are currently playing the blues all around Australia. We are based in Brisbane Queensland! I will randomly select people who sign my guest book and give them a free CD!! This has a song on it I recorded with the late and great ALBERT COLLINS with RAY CHARLES'S HORN SECTION. and the late and great Al Jackson (Booker T's ex drummer.) The album was recorded live in 1997 at Redcliffe, Queensland Australia and the new band line up is Larrie ("Fat Foot Lazza") Cook on lead/rhythm guitar, sax, harp and vocals, James ("Fingers")Mather on keyboards and vocals, Jeff ("Forget Me Not")Milligan on bass guitar and vocals and John ("Billy-Boy") Bakos on drums and vocals. Empire records was soon to pick up some of the songs for inclusion on their "Real Australian Blues #4" album and have aquired the Bluesmaster's CD for National distribution.
The previous album titled Larrie Cook and the Hard Blues Band live at the James Cook Tavern, North Queensland was voted album No. 3 on the Blues On the Air Magazine.
